Cycle The Classic

Since 1996, the EuroEyes CYCLASSICS Hamburg is THE cycling race for professionals and age groupers. The race enjoys cult status not only among the 18,000 participants but also for the 650,000 spectators. Regardless of whether you're a rookie, a master, or participant of the first hour - the EuroEyes CYCLASSICS is a "must-do" event for all passionate cyclists.

Impressive courses, unforgettable experiences, and a spectacular pro race are waiting for you. Our three brand-new distances ensure that the right challenge awaits you. All roads are completely closed to public traffic. Compete with your fellow cyclists, race against the clock, or simply ride to roll across the finish line to begin celebrating your day of fun and achievement.

The three routes, though new, continue the tradition of finishing on the iconic Mönckebergstraße in the heart of Hamburg. This finish line has been tested, conquered and enjoyed thousands of times. You can race on your road, mountain, or even trekking bike. Fully closed roads ensure maximum safety and thanks to our sophisticated registration system, you will start with cyclists that are on a similar level and pace as you.

You only live once. And it's up to you to make it special. The EuroEyes CYCLASSICS offer you the perfect opportunity to prove yourself. Pain is temporary, pride is forever.

Germany's most spectacular UCI World Tour race

Directly after you, the world's best cyclists battle it out on almost the same course that you took on just hours earlier. The EuroEyes CYCLASSICS are part of a select circle of professional cycling races around the world - the UCI World Tour (the Tour de France is also part of the tour).

The pro start list is as packed as it could be. Year for year, most of the world's best sprinters take on the race and hope to get past the Waseberg to take the win on the home stretch on the Mönckebergstraße in front of thousands of spectators. The professional race is about 220 km.

Europe's largest cycling festival

The EuroEyes CYCLASSICS aren't only about the races on Sunday. On Saturday, participants and spectators get to watch burning rubber at the RAD RACE on the Mönckebergstraße. Race week also features the EuroEyes Youngclassics, a multiple stage race for the international cycling youth elite. A large expo on Rathausmarkt and Jungfernstieg with more than 80 exhibitors from the cycling, lifestyle, and outdoor sector round off the event. Up to 650,000 spectators and visitors are expected on race day.
