Where are the start and finish of the ADAC Cyclassics?
The finish of all races is on Mönckebergstraße.
The starting grid for Cyclassics 60 is located between Binnenalster and Außenalster, on the Alsterglacis/Kennedybrücke/An der Alster road.
The starting grid for Cyclassics 110 is located on Versmannstraße up to Shanghaiallee.
Please follow the signs on site to your starting blocks.
The elite start will be in Buxtehude.

Where can I park my motorhome?
It is not possible to park your motorhome directly at the start in Hamburg. Please book a space at an official campsite.

Where can I park in the city center?
Public parking spaces in the city center of Hamburg are limited and availability is further restricted by the event. It is generally advisable to arrive by bike or public transport. Those who cannot do without a car can choose between various parking garages in the city center.

Which train stations are the closest?
Start Cyclassics 60: The start line is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hamburg Dammtor (S-Bahn) and Stephansplatz (U1) stops. The start line, especially the back blocks, can also be reached within a few minutes from the main station (all public transport lines, as well as long-distance transport)

Start Cyclassics 110: The start line is located in the immediate vicinity of the Elbbrücken stop (U4, S3, S5). The rear starting blocks can also be reached via the HafenCity Universität station (U4)
Start Elite: The start of the Elite in Buxtehude can be reached from Hamburg on the S3 and S5 lines.

Hotel offers
Selected hotels in Hamburg offer discounted rates for all participants and accompanying persons. Due to the proximity of the hotels to the start and finish area, participants can roll up to the start line on the morning of the race day in complete relaxation. Registration

Until when can I register?
The online registration closes regularly on 13.08.2025. The organizer reserves the right to close the registration at an earlier date if the capacity limit is reached.

How can I change my registration data?
Corrections to the data stated in the registration (no name change) can be made independently free of charge until 17.08.2024 in the "timeto" registration portal via the login(https://myevents.active.com/ASOGermanyGmbH).

I have problems with the timeto registration platform. Who can help me?

Can I transfer my starting place?
You can easily transfer your starting place via the timeto registration platform until 13.08.2024. Log into your existing account there and select "Transfer Registration", then enter the email address of the new person and send the transfer. This person will shortly receive a notification that the starting place has been transferred to them. As soon as the person confirms this by clicking on the link in the e-mail they receive, they can register for the current rate. You will receive the amount you paid minus a €10 processing fee back into your account. Substitute participants who have not been rebooked will be disqualified.
After the13.08.2024 a re-registration is only possible on the event site between 14.08. and 16.08. during the start document distribution for a re-registration fee of 10,- € (cash or EC card). Please bring a signed power of attorney with you. The handling of the already paid entry fee will then be agreed between the two persons involved in the re-registration.

 

How do I re-register correctly?
The late registration form must be filled out completely and legibly and signed when the starting documents are handed out between 14.08. and 16.08. (only as long as there are enough starting places available!). Payment can be made in cash or by EC card. Please have your identity card ready.

Can I transfer my starting place to 2026?
It is not possible to transfer to the following year. Until 13.08.2024 you have the possibility to transfer your booking to another participant for a fee of 10€.

Which bikes are allowed?
Whether racing bike, mountain bike, trekking bike or city bike. All types of bikes are welcome at the ADAC Cyclassics! However, please note the safety requirements and specified minimum speeds. Pedelecs (e-bikes) are only permitted on the 60km route. Participation with a tandem is also possible, please note that you must register in the special registration categories for this. Recumbents and handbikes may also participate, but will be categorized independently of their expected speed and the special provisions in the conditions of participation must also be observed here. Cargo bikes and fixies are not permitted for safety reasons.

Can I take part in the ADAC Cyclassics with a pedelec (e-bike)?
Participation with a pedelec is only permitted on the ADAC Cyclassics 60km lap, provided that the motor assistance is limited to a maximum of 25 km/h. S-pedelecs are not permitted. S-pedelecs are not permitted.

How will the starting blocks be allocated?
The starting blocks will be allocated on the basis of the specified average speed and previous participation in the ADAC Cyclassics. Participants who are taking part in a cycling event for the first time and state an expected average speed of faster than 40 km/h may have to submit a verifiable result. Registration must be completed by August 13, 2024 in order to be entitled to the front starting blocks. Anyone who registers after this date will then be placed in one of the rear starting blocks according to capacity, regardless of the average speed stated.

Issue of starting documents

When will I be informed of my start number and starting block?
All participants will be informed of their start number and starting block by email before the start number distribution begins.

How do I collect my starting documents correctly?
Please bring your registration confirmation and your ID with you to collect your starting documents. The start documents will be handed out from 14.08. - 16.08. at the event site in Hamburg city center.
In order to pick up the start documents directly before the start of the race on 17.08., an additional purchase in the registration portal is necessary.

As last year, the race documents will be handed out at the Expo at the Rathausmarkt.

Can I collect my starting documents before 14.08.?
No.

Can someone else collect my race pack?
The person collecting my race pack must bring your registration confirmation and a signed authorization form to the race pack collection point.
 

Will I receive my starting documents bypost?
No, the starting documents will not be sent to me.

Jersey

How can I order the official jersey?
You can order the official jersey directly during online registration.

When will I receive my jersey?
You will receive your pre-ordered jersey on site at the Expo as part of the start document distribution or by post, as long as you have selected the "Shipping" option in the online registration.

On the day of the event

Where is the organizer's information stand?
The information stand is located on Burchardplatz.

Can I join my friends/colleagues in the starting block?
Only if they are in a slower starting block further back. Lining up in a starting group that is further forward will result in disqualification.

How do I find my starting block?
The individual starting blocks are signposted on site. 
The starting blocks for Cyclassics 60 are located between the Inner and Outer Alster. On the streets Alsterglacis, Kennedybrücke and An der Alster.
The starting blocks of Cyclassics 100 are located on Versmannstraße up to Shanghaiallee.

Can I drop off my luggage before the start?
The start bag drop-off point is near the Burchardplatz. Please note that only the official start bag with a legible start number will be accepted.

Are there toilets at the start?
There are mobile toilets in several places in the start area and at the starting blocks.

In the race

How does the start of the race work?
The starts of the 60km and 100km laps take place separately. The starting blocks are open from 40 minutes before the start and close 10 minutes before the respective start time. The starting blocks will be sent into the race individually for the safety of the participants. The organizer reserves the right to stop individual starting blocks briefly for organizational purposes before passing through the starting arch.

Start times:
ADAC Cyclassics 60: between 07:00 and 07:40 a.m.
ADAC Cyclassics 100: between 07:30 and 08:40 a.m.

What distances are there?
Two distances will be offered again this year: The ADAC Cyclassics 60 over approx. 56.8km and the ADAC Cyclassics 100 over 109km. You can find out more about the routes here .

Can I switch between the distances during the race?
NO! Changing distances during the race is not possible for operational reasons, as not all road closures can be active at the same time. A distance change is only possible from the longer to the shorter distance and only BEFORE the start of the shorter distance.
Participants who are registered for a shorter distance and still complete the longer distance will be disqualified! The route will be modified accordingly at the fork and merge points.

Are there refreshment points on the course?
There will be at least one refreshment point on both the 60km and 100km loops. The exact locations will be announced.

What do I do with my garbage (gels, banana peels, ...) during the race?
As in normal road traffic, you are also obliged to dispose of your garbage properly in the garbage cans provided during the race. These can be found, for example, at the refreshment station or in the start and finish area. Anyone who throws their garbage away on the course during the race will be disqualified.

What should I do in the event of a fall?
Please help your fellow cyclists in the event of a fall and warn other participants. As in normal road traffic, the emergency number 112 applies at the ADAC Cyclassics. In this context, please also state the start number of the participant who has crashed so that they can be clearly identified.

Are there broomwagons?
There are broom wagons that collect participants who are too slow or can no longer ride.

Minimum speeds*:
ADAC Cyclassics 60: approx. 24km/h
ADAC Cyclassics 100: approx. 26km/h
*The minimum speeds apply to the total time from start to finish and are adapted to the route profile. It is therefore possible to ride slower uphill, while a faster average speed is calculated for downhill. The cut-off will be enforced continuously at the back of the race field in order to comply with the approved cut-off times. We ask for your understanding and consideration for the broom wagon drivers who are doing their job on the day.

Is it compulsory to wear a helmet?
Participants in the ADAC Cyclassics are obliged to wear a bicycle helmet with a closed chin strap. Participants without a helmet will be disqualified.

After the race

Is there an after-race area?
After crossing the finish line, you will be directed to the after-race area at the Burchardplatz, where there will be snacks and drinks for all participants.

Is there a bike parking lot on the event site?
There will be a free, guarded bike parking lot for all participants on the event site on race day. If possible, bring your own lock to double secure your bike.

Are there showers on site?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you any official showers on site.

Where is the DRK located?
The DRK will be located directly at the post-race refreshment area on Burchardplatz on race day. There will also be various medical patrols along the course and in the city center.

Where is the transponder distribution point?
These are disposable transponders that do not have to be returned.

Where can I get photos of myself from the race?
You can find your photos after the race at www.getpica.com or in the results list directly after your name. You can find more information here.

Where can I hand in lost property?
Lost property will be handed in at the lost and found office tent in the finish area at Alstertor.

Bicycles are handed in at the lost and found office tent in the after-draw area at Alstertor.

Results, rankings & honors

Where can I find the results lists?

Where can I find my certificate?
All participants can access their certificates online via the results list and print them out themselves.

Who will be honored at the award ceremony?
The top 3 male/female finishers will be honored at the award ceremony. Honors and possible prizes will only be awarded during the award ceremony on site, there is no right to receive prizes at a later date.

How does the team ranking work?
The team ranking is based solely on the teams formed during the registration process, regardless of club or company affiliation. The ranking for each route is determined by adding together the fastest net times of 3 female or 4 male participants. The differentiation is due to the different minimum team sizes for women and men.
