General information on traffic
Here you will find an overview of the route of the ADAC Cyclassics 2025 as well as all important information on road closures in the districts of Stade, Harburg and Pinneberg, as well as the city of Hamburg. Large signs like this example will indicate where the route of the Cyclassics will be on August 17 from about 2 weeks before the race.
In Hamburg, we mostly work with fixed closing times - this means that the roads are closed at a certain time and also reopened at a fixed time. Please note that earlier closures are possible in the start and finish areas due to set-up and dismantling work.
In the districts of Stade, Harburg and Pinneberg, the roads along the route will be closed approximately 45 minutes before the arrival of the respective field of riders. As soon as the entire peloton, including support vehicles, has passed, the police will reopen the route. Depending on the situation, there may be short delays.
All times are "approximate times" as they depend on the speed of the race. The system ensures that the roads are only closed for as long as necessary.
Some sections of the route are used by several race fields. In these cases, the road between the fields remains closed - on the instructions of the police. However, pedestrians and drivers can cross the track safely at certain crossing points during race breaks.
Important: The marshals on site have no influence on the closing times. Please treat them with respect - they work on a voluntary basis.
